Just been for a meal with my wife after wanting to go here for ages ! Absolutely amazing food top tier didn’t disappoint , Leslie and staff are very friendly keep up the good work and il be back soon 👍 credit where credit is due I don’t often write reviews but this place deserves one. just go you won’t be disappointed 🍜🍛😀

The food here is amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful, answering questions and offering questions on the menu. Will definitely be going back here.

We were greeted and shown to a table then the person went through the menu and told us if we needed any more help he would assist. We ordered to starters the beef spring rolls which were a little bit disappointing as I was expecting shredded beef and it was minced beef but tasty none the less. We also ordered a spicy beef Bao Bun which my son said it was the best Bao Bun he had ever had. For our mains we ordered Columbo’s Chicken Devil Curry, Korean Chilli King Prawn and Asian Chilli Garlic Chicken. The meals were all very good and the King Prawns were huge with the only minor negative was there was not a lot of chicken in the Asian Chilli Garlic Chicken. All in all a very nice meal and excellent service.

Me & my girlfriend came here for our birthdays. Service from staff was first class from start to finish, our server Lesley was absolutely brilliant. They even brought us out a free side & dessert to celebrate our birthdays. Food was amazing also

The place is very nice . You can sit inside the resturant or there are 3 outdoor tables in the end of the resturant . The service was good the staff were freindly . The food was excelent

1st time eating here and was not disappointed. The staff were so friendly, the atmosphere and decor was amazing and the food was even better than I imagined. We ordered the Dumpling and Spring Roll sharing platters and the spicy beef bao bun (See pics) for our starters, which were soooooooo good we could have easily ordered a whole load more. Our mains were a mix and again tasted sublimely good. I think we each tried each other's dishes. I will defo have to come back again and again just to work through the menu. Highly recommend.

10/10 on the food, ambience & service - we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Leslie, who looked after us on our visit, was so welcoming, bubbly & friendly, not only to us but to everyone who walked through the door. We took advantage of the 2 courses @ £16.50 deal (available from Sun-Fri until 5pm), which worked well for our budget. Kato is such a fantastic addition to Whickham & the North East food scene!
